PNC-SVA "Leading With Integrity" Scholarship

While a postsecondary degree or credential has become indispensable for entry into professional careers and the middle class, the cost of college continues to increase. Student Veterans of America is proud to partner with PNC Bank and MBA Veterans Network to award one $10,000 scholarship to a student veterans that defines “Leading With Integrity.” This scholarship will not only build a diverse talent pool of candidates that can meet the emerging workforce demands of PNC Bank, but it will also ensure that student veterans can achieve their goal of earning a college education. SVA and the MBA Veterans Network thanks the PNC Foundation for their support and partnership.

To be considered for the PNC-SVA "Leading With Integrity Scholarship," all required materials must be submitted and/or received no later than January 27th, 2015,11:59pm EST.MBAV Small

Eligibility

Eligible student veterans must meet the below outlined minimum criteria:

  • Be pursuing a degree from an accredited institution of higher learning in finance, business administration, or related fields
  • Be enrolled as at least a first year MBA student at the time of application
  • Be honorably discharged from Active Duty or currently serving in the Guard or Reserve
  • Submit a current résumé
  • Submit proof of military service (DD214)
  • Submit proof of enrollment in an accredited U.S. institution of higher education (transcript)
  • Submit two (2)signed letters of recommendation on official letterhead detailing your talents, interests, and aspirations (letters can be submitted to scholarships@studentveterans.org and must be on an official letterhead)
  • Submit one (1) personal statement (prompt below)
  • Submit one (1) essay (prompt below)

Essay and Personal Statement

All applicants must answer the following prompts. Upload your completed essay and personal statement on the application page, preferably as a PDF. 

Essay: Please thoroughly, but succinctly (300-500 words), answer the following essay: What does "leading with integrity" mean to you?

Personal Statement: Write a one-page personal statement of career interest within Financial Services or the applicable field based on your major.

The MBA Veterans Network is a global networking organization with a mission dedicated to connecting current and future business leaders who possess the shared experience of military service and a top-ranked MBA education with the world's leading employers and each other. They accomplish this goal by partnering with leading academic institutions, corporate diversity leaders, and veteran students and alumni and joining them at both our annual Career Conference and through MBA Veterans Connect, an online social networking platform.
