he American Legion was chartered and incorporated by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic veterans organization devoted to mutual helpfulness. It is the nation’s largest veterans service organization, committed to mentoring and sponsorship of youth programs in our communities, advocating patriotism and honor, promoting a strong national security, and continued devotion to our fellow servicemembers and veterans.

The American Council on Education, ACE, the major coordinationg body for all of the nation's higher education institutions, seeks to provide leadership and a unifying voice on higher education issues and to influence public policy through advocacy, research, and program initiatives.

The Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States, with its Auxiliaries, includes 2.2 million members in approximately 8,100 Posts worldwide. Its mission is to "honor the dead by helping the living" through veterans' service, community service, national security and a strong national defense.

Vets4Vets
Vets4Vets is a non-partisan organization dedicated to sharing the value of peer support with Iraq and Afghanistan era veterans through the use of FREE weekend workshops and local support groups. Vets4Vets encourages veterans to regularly use peer support as a means of dealing with the challenges of reintegration. We envision Vets4Vets being a common name in the minds of all veterans as a place where they, and their comrades, can go to heal.

The vision of the Bob Woodruff Foundation is to provide resources and support to injured service members, veterans and their families -- building a movement to empower communities nationwide to take action to successfully reintegrate our nation’s injured heroes—especially those who have sustained the Hidden Injuries of War—back into their communities so they may thrive physically, psychologically, socially and economically.
